In March of this year, the company reported a decrease in year-over-year growth. There was a 15% drop in sales from March 2021 to March 2022, from 52,600 to 44,600. As a result, the company’s market share fell from 16.4 per cent in March 2021 to 13.9 per cent in the last month, a drop of 2.5 per cent year-over-year.

Last month, Creta was Hyundai’s best-selling model, but sales were still down 17% year-over-year. However, from February 2022, it was still a 10% improvement. Only recently, Hyundai launched the “Knight Edition” of the Creta, an exclusive model priced between Rs. 13,35 and Rs. 18,02 lakhs.

In March 2022, the Hyundai i10 Grand became the company’s second best-selling model. As a result, moM sales rose 13% from February 2022, despite a 12% drop in YoY sales.

In terms of sales, the Hyundai Venue came in third place. The model sold 9,220 units last month. However, the model lost 14% of its growth since March 2021 and 10% month-over-month. By the end of 2022, Hyundai aims to unveil a facelift for the Venue. However, the engine specs are likely to stay the same, even if the appearance gets a total overhaul.
